9. Awareness on Climate change and trees Palantation

Climate Change Awareness and Tree Plantation Activities:

Introduction:

The Life Changing Foundation (LCF) is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices in communities across Taluka Gambat. With the support of local philanthropists, LCF organized a series of awareness sessions on climate change and conducted tree plantation activities in schools to engage farmers, community members, and students in environmental conservation efforts.

Awareness Sessions on Climate Change: LCF, in collaboration with local philanthropists, organized five awareness sessions on climate change in partnership with farmers and community members. These sessions aimed to educate participants about the causes and impacts of climate change, as well as practical steps they can take to mitigate its effects. Discussions covered topics such as sustainable agriculture practices, water conservation, and reducing carbon emissions to build resilience to climate change in rural communities.
Tree Plantation in Schools: Furthermore, LCF conducted tree plantation activities in four different schools across Taluka Gambat. These activities involved students, teachers, and community members coming together to plant trees on school premises. By planting trees, LCF aimed to promote environmental conservation, enhance green spaces, and instil a sense of responsibility for the environment among students. Additionally, students were educated about the importance of trees in mitigating climate change, improving air quality, and preserving biodiversity.

Impact and Outcomes:

The climate change awareness sessions and tree plantation activities organized by LCF have had a positive impact on the community and the environment:

Increased awareness: Participants gained a better understanding of climate change issues and the importance of environmental conservation.
Community engagement: Farmers, community members, and students actively participated in discussions and tree plantation activities, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship.
